The first step should be to make sure your remote is on the correct channel. Press the button at the bottom of your remote to cycle through the channels. Attempt to roll the awning in or out on each channel.
If this doesn’t work, ensure the outlet is working by plugging in a different device. Also make sure that the fuse or circuit breaker that controls that outlet is working.
If the above solutions did not work, then your remote may be out of batteries and/or may need to be reprogrammed. After replacing the batteries, the quickest way to do get this done is to follow the instructions in the manual or to call Sunsetter customer service (800-876-2340) and be walked through the process.

If this does not solve your issue, the battery on the wind sensor may be low or dead. In order to replace the batteries, tap the side of the wind sensor towards the left (unlock position) and remove the device from the arm of your awning. Using a small screwdriver in the small opening, open the wind sensor and insert new AAA batteries. A tiny light will blink if inserted correctly. There may be reprogramming required after this process.
For instructions on reprogramming the wind sensor, call into Sunsetter customer service (800-876-2340) or follow the instructions in the manual.
